From Durban take the N3 towards Pietermaritzburg, After 50km take the Camperdown turn-off, left at the stop sign to Umlaas Rd. At the T-junction turn left onto the R603 going to Umbumbulu, drive for 8.5km. Before you get to Tala Game Reserve, turn right onto the Tala Valley Rd. Go for 1km and then turn left onto Tala Valley Citrus Estate. If you get to Tala Game Reserve, turn around, you have gone too far. S 29'49"40.24 E 30'30"21.20

What do we need to bring with 

An adventurous spirit, warm clothing (Jeans & Sweater) and closed in shoes (no hooktype laces)

 

Do we need training before a tandem skydive 

No, on arrival at the Drop Zone you will receive a 15 minute briefing during which the equipment, aircraft and freefall drills 

 

How long is the skydive 

We skydive from between 8000 - 10 000 ft giving us +/- 40 seconds freefall. The parachute is deployed at 5 000 ft and the canopy ride lasts about 6 minutes

 

Are there any age restrictions 

We dont recommend tandem skydiving for children younger than 12 years old. If under the age of 18 years parental consent is required. There is no maximum age limit 

 

What altitude do we skydive from 

9500 feet above ground level

 

Do we need to book and how far in advanced 

Booking is essential, with at least 1 days notice 

 

Are there any weight restrictions 

Maximum weight 110kg's

 

Do you need a medical certificate 

No, if you have any medical ailments we advise you to consult with your doctor first 

 

How long does the whole experience take 

About 1 hour 20 minutes

 

Is it weather dependant 

Yes, we cannot skydive in very strong winds or with excessive cloud cover
